Just Perfect

A perfect place to relax. We stayed for a week in August and from the moment we arrived we knew it would be wonderful. The trulli has a wonderful outside area which has been thought out really well with plenty of seating and places to relax. Everywhere you look you have a lovely restful view from all the plants in the garden and it smells wonderful with sage and lavender and rosemary. The pool is fantastic, our boys loved it. Only 20 minutes from the beaches and 10 minutes from 2 lovely little towns so the location is perfect. David and Francesco are super helpful and we can't wait to come back next year.

Myself, my husband, my daughter (aged 9) and my son (aged 7) spent the most amazing week here this summer. The trullo was just the most perfect place to spend time together, to have fun, to relax and to enjoy. From the moment we walked in it took our breath away. It was decorated so beautifully, was immaculately clean and it had everything we could possibly need for a family of 4 - from beach towels to cooler bags and ice packs, the owners David and Fran have thought of everything. The welcome basket was wonderfully stocked with fresh food (which was plenty for lunch for a few days!) including a very welcome bottle of wine (for us) and cold lemonade for the children after a tiring journey. The pool was perfect and a great size with walk down steps that make it easy to get in and out of, or to sit on and enjoy a cocktail. The outside seating areas were wonderful for eating breakfast and lunch, a drink before going out for dinner and endless games of Uno before going to bed. It's also a great place to sit and watch the glorious sunset over the trullo. The bbq was great - easy to fire and easy to clean down. David was a fantastic host and being just next door was so helpful. He and Fran gave us great advice of places to visit and restaurants to eat in which they booked for us. One night we had a wonderful local lady cook our dinner which David delivered in a wicker basket - it was absolutely delicious and the children tried everything! The long sandy beaches are only a 20 minute drive away where you can hire sunbeds and there are plenty of bars/restaurants. There are 2 towns (Ostuni and Cegile Massapica) that take 10 minutes to drive to which are stunning and a great evening out for all the family. We all had such a good time and can't wait to come back!

From the moment we arrived at the gates to the property we knew we knew we were to have a slice of heaven for the next 10 days . We were a family of 3 adults and 2 children staying in the Trulli with more family staying with David and Fran. What a place! Inside the Trulli was beautiful very spacious and a great comfy bed sleeping under the Trulli roof. We were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The extensive welcome pack was incredible and hit just the spot for our late arrival. Many happy hours were spent by us all in the gorgeous pool and grounds of the trulli which were vast. So much space for our grandchildren to play and for us to relax. Lots of lovely spots to sit and have a drink or a meal. We were all very sad to leave our little bit of paradise and are planning on returning soon. We are trully hooked with the tranquillity of the Trulli della Scrittrice. Thank you David and Fran

Nous - 2 adultes et 2 enfants de 10 ans - avons passé 15 jours superbes. Superbe propriété "à la campagne" entre Bari et Brindisi et à proximité d'Ostuni. Les hôtes David et Francesco sont très accueillants et très prévenants. Le trullo est très sympa et décoré avec goût. Il n'est pas très grand mais puisqu'on passe le plus clair de son temps dans le jardin ou dans la piscine, il est tout à fait adapté. Le jardin est agréable, arboré, fleuri, très grand, avec des espaces de vie comme le pavillon de jardin et la (grande) piscine dans lesquels on vit en permanence quand on est pas en ballade. Il y a beaucoup de sites à visiter, beaucoup de belles plages et toujours à distance raisonnable (1h max. en voiture) et pour couronner le tout de bons restau à prix raisonnables.
